Bio
A self taught musician, David Clerest played drums since childhood, and got his first drum kit at age 4, and began performing professionally at age 10.
He bought his first guitar at the age of 13, and quickly learned to strum and sing. David began writing songs and composing music soon after, and has always enjoyed performing in front of a crowd. He used to perform with his 3 piece band, prior to going solo as a one man band.
In the year 1989 David Clerest decided to combine
his talents as a drummer, bass player, guitarist and vocalist to create his music project .
David Clerest performed extensively from 1990 to
year 2003. He released the album Mission:Earth in
1999. That album was re-mastered and re-released in 2001. DCP released a new Album in 2011, followed by a tour of Europe to promote it. Three other singles were released by Clerest Records
David is an advocate for social and environmental justice, and this is reflected
in his song writing. He recorded his CD “Mission:Earth” (1998) using solar power.
His anti-war anthems
includes “Resolution Song”, “Final Mass Destruction”, and “Coming Promised Day”.
David also designed and built some experimental acoustic guitars.
